3-3 DISSECTION

A tower is constructed from the simplest of geometric manoeuvres: a line is lofted to a circle, then cut into three equal divisions. The dissection that occurs from a curvilnear operation onto a doubly curved solid creates an interior that is complex and spatially arresting.

Rainwater and sand from the beach is collected at the bottom of each vessel, and makes a ballast for balancing. Each vessel has separate desires and reactions to human occupancy dependent on their weight and their fulcrum point. They may also gently open and close as needed by a mechatronic system.
