LithuTOPIA

This competition provided ideal scenarios for proposing Territories for the Compound NonHuman and Human.

Rather than produce a classical repertoire of separation, sets of thickness, depth, and curvature were produced to house both. Unlike a modernist tradition of distinct zones of specialized occupancies, this institution offers no distinction or hierarchy to what is human, matter, or nature.

Occupiable surfaces are not flat slabs in a post-and-beam assembly but continually gradating surfaces, much like landscape. Without a horizon, the entire building becomes a navigable surface project.
