Line the site
Korean War Memorial Park for Civil Victims
We have drawn lines in the site for the civilians who died in the Korean War. This line broadens and contracts, creating new domains of landscape and opens for porosity and passage. The materiality of the line is also soft and fuzzy as wetlands, and progresses to precisely geometric concrete edges. Unlike borders, this line does not separate but unites various outdoor rooms into a cohesive whole.
우리는 한국전쟁에서 희생된 민간인들을 위한 새로운 연결선을 그렸다. 이 연결선은 확장되고 축소되면서, 새로운 경관 영역을 탄생시키고 투과와 관통을 가능하게 한다. 연결선의 물성은 습지처럼 부드럽고 흐릿하다가, 정확하게 기하학적인 콘크리트 모서리로 진화한다. 이 연결선은 경계선과는 달리 분리시키지 않고, 다양한 ‘외부의 방들’을 일관된 전체로 통합한다.
