Willows

This proposal shows artificial trees that are photosynthetic, and bioluminescent. This is the first of a series on Air as a public and shared resource. As more of the natural biome is lost, these Willows can stave off oxygen depletion.

Filters in the tree remove harmful pollutants and microbes, leaving the visitor with a refreshed sensation. Free wifi entices them to stay and enjoy its health benefits. Conversely, the Willows can replicate the air quality from other locations such as Munich, Delhi, or Osaka. Air as a cultural commodity or as a public commons is a choice.
